A lock out is when the employer locks out the employees of the workplace so that they can't work at all. That means they dont get payed. They would get locked out if they striked without permission or became violent. The employer could become concerned about the safety of the workplace. To go on a strike is a way of employees asking for an increase in their pay or perks. If refusedon their first attempt, they will ask their union for advice. If prompted by the union to strike( stopping all business) They will proceed to shout and be stupid in the roads and negotiations will start up for a higher pay. It goes on till someone gains something. I dunno bout the rest
