Yes I know many people that have been injured on the job. My father has recieved stitches when he worked in a barn and cut himself with a chisel. My friends father is missing fingers from an accident when working in his woodshop.
Injury, accidents or death can be prevented by wearing safety equiptment, having proper training and wearing the proper clothing on the job. Also, behaving appropriately and following the rules can prevent issues. If someone is unsure of how to perform a task, they should notify their employer and ask for proper training before starting the task.
