1)      – Health issues originating from work-related hazards may take a long time to appear
- Hazards can be controlled by following safety procedures, and using proper equipment
- Steel-toed shoes are equipment to protect your feet, and are marked with a green triangle.
- Lift heavy objects with your legs, not your back.
- Workers are responsible for being knowledgeable of safety and emergency procedures as well as any potential hazards within the workplace.

2)      If an accident or injury has occurred, you should inform your supervisor immediately, and then, depending on how serious the accident or injury is, you should contact emergency responders. (If the accident or injury is very serious, emergency responders should be contacted first)

3)      If an employer is asking you to do something unsafe, you should contact their manager, or a Health and Safety representative of the company that you are working for. The Workplace Health and Safety Contact is also an option. In extreme situations, the police should also be contacted.
