Course Overview
In this course, you’ll study the six ways—or strands—of using language: reading, writing, listening, viewing, representing, and speaking. This is accomplished through five units of study:
Unit 1: Visual Communication
Unit 2: Non-Fiction
Unit 3: Poetry
Unit 4: Fiction
Unit 5: Novel
Through this course, you’ll better understand and appreciate the English language and will learn to use language confidently, competently, and artistically for effective communication, personal growth, and learning.
ONE novel is required for Unit 5. You may choose any novel from the following list:
