We will explore the pursuit of national interest in relation to a number of topics:
- Consequences of pursing national interests
- Pursuit of national interest shapes foreign policy (WWI Peace Settlements and interwar period)
- Nationalism and ultranationalism during times of conflict (Causes and events during WWI, WWII, Internments in Canada, Conscription Crises)
- Ultranationalism as a cause of genocide (Holocaust, Ukranian Famine, Modern Examples)
